Come one, come all, to 100 Bogart's rooftop fundraiser on the opening night of Bushwick's Open Studios! We are hosting a fundraiser on Friday, September 22nd from 7-11PM, to help the relief efforts of those affected by Hurricane Irma, specifically the island of Barbuda.
Entry is free, and 100% of drink tickets proceeds will go to the Antigua & Barbuda NYC Consulate General. 21+ only.
The island of Barbuda only has a population of 1800 people, and with the hurricane leaving 95% of the island destroyed, we believe we need to help their community.
We at 100 Bogart are devastated by the occurrences of Hurricane Irma, specifically on the island of Barbuda. This small island was hit so badly, it could take 5-10 years to recover from this storm- whereas other islands have more resources to use to recover faster.
We found a donation to a large non-profit is not significant enough, and we want to take a personal and community-driven approach to these issues and put a real effort into making a positive contribution. This fundraiser was spearheaded by co-founder Nick Tukmanian, who visited the island 2 years ago. 100% of the proceeds raised from this fundraiser will be donated to the Antigua and Barbuda Consulate General, their local government.
In addition to raising funds for the council, we will be collecting non-perishable goods to help the relief efforts.
Their priority items list are: canned goods, flashlights, batteries, baby pampers, adult pampers, toilet paper, sleeping cots, sanitizers, lotions, toothpaste, toothbrushes, baby clothes, baby powder, and soap.
We will be dropping off the canned goods the day after the party to the Antigua Barbuda Consulate General.
If you would like to donate canned food before the event, drop-offs can be made at any time to the front desk to Security.
